WASHINGTON — The White House ripped former special counsel Jack Smith as a “partisan attack rat” Monday after he was photographed and videoed wearing a “No Kings” T-shirt at a Maryland concert over the weekend.“Jack Smith is a scumbag who was the partisan attack rat for Democrats who weaponized the justice system against President Trump for political purposes,” White House communications director Steven Cheung said on X in response to the images of Smith, who brought two criminal cases against the commander in chief ahead of the 2024 election.“Don’t think they won’t go after innocent Americans again if they get their way,” added Cheung.Images showed Smith, 57, scooting to his seat at the Merriweather Post Pavilion concert venue in Columbia, Md.while nursing a beer and wearing a Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band shirt.Smith testified last week before the Senate Judiciary Committee about the “Arctic Frost” FBI probe that led to his indictment of Trump for trying to reverse the 2020 election results and hoarding national security papers at Mar-a-Lago.“I am not a politician and I have no partisan loyalty,” the longtime prosecutor said in his opening remarks to the panel.
