Former Bears linebacker Otis Wilson allegedly scuffled with a female security worker at Soldier Field after Chicago’s 23-12 win against the Jets on Sunday, according to the Chicago Sun Times, which said multiple employees were witnesses.The incident began when the 69-year-old Wilson was told he could not take an elevator that was reserved for media going to the locker rooms and press conference rooms immediately after the game, according to witnesses working on the suite level near the press box.Wilson allegedly got on the elevator and was escorted off — and he was restrained by multiple people during the altercation.
The Chicago Sun-Times published a photo of a hole in the wall, described as being softball-sized and directly across from the elevator Wilson had boarded, which witnesses said occurred during the scuffle.The outlet reported it saw Wilson on all fours, bent over at the waist, and appearing tired after the incident.Wilson — a member of the Bears team that won a Super Bowl title against the Patriots in the 1985 season — eventually was taken onto an elevator in a wheelchair while conscious and alert and with no visible injuries, according to the Sun-Times.The female security worker was not identified in the report.The Chicago Police Department said it did not receive calls of service or finalized case reports regarding the incident three hours after the game ended, per the Sun-Times.
