NFL suspends two refs for unprofessional conduct after wild player altercations

The NFL laid down the hammer on a pair of on-field officials for their behavior toward players on Sunday.Line judge Jeff Seeman has been suspended two games for cursing out Cardinals tight end Trey McBride during a game against the Giants at MetLife Stadium, and referee Adrian Hill was banned one game for snapping at Vikings linebacker Eric Wilson after an accidental collision, per a statement issued to multiple outlets. The officials were suspended “each for an instance of unprofessional conduct toward a player.”Ramon George, the league’s vice president of officiating, levied the suspensions.Seeman appeared to be saying “f–k you” to McBride in a moment caught by a camera on the sideline.NFLPA executive director JC Tretter called Seeman out in a post to X on Sunday night with video of the incident that, as of Monday afternoon, has five million views.“This kind of behavior from an official towards a player is unacceptable,” Tretter said.“Players are consistently held accountable when the roles are reversed.

He was heated for sure, but I never heard a curse from him.The harshest he got was, ‘You’re ruining the game,'” Kinkhabwala said.Wilson offered to help Hill up after bumping him to the ground, but Hill got in Wilson’s face and pointed for him to go away....
