Hamdi and D Double E Team Up for New Single, 'Heart & Soul': Listen

Hamdi has dropped a new single, ‘Heart & Soul,’ a collaboration with grime veteran D Double E.The track arrives after the Oxford-born producer, who was named to the EDM.com Class of 2024, signed with RCA Records UK.

It pairs his bass-heavy production with the rapid, instantly recognizable delivery of D Double E.The pairing connects two generations of the British underground.

D Double E emerged from the East London electronic music scene and has remained a respected voice there, while Hamdi has taken the dubstep that grew alongside it to a wider audience.‘Heart & Soul’ places those two traditions side by side over a guttural beat.

Working with the influential grime MC, he said, fulfilled a long-held wish.“Absolute honor to work with one of the goats, someone I’ve been listening to and admiring for years, Hamdi said.

“So happy with how the track came together.I was gassed with the beat when I made it but D Double E brought the track to a whole another level, I remember jumping up and down a lot when I first heard his bars on it.
