Bruce Blakeman vows to end NY sanctuary policies as Mike Lawler drops f-bombs in attack on Gov. Kathy Hochul

GOP gubernatorial hopeful Bruce Blakeman vowed Tuesday to end New York’s sanctuary state policies on his first day in office — as Rep.Mike Lawler unleashed a profanity-laced attack on Gov.

Kathy Hochul.The Republicans gathered in Chappaqua alongside the family of Sheridan Gorman — the 18-year-old Loyola University student gunned down by an illegal migrant — to demand law enforcement cooperation with ICE after two previously deported men were arrested in separate Hudson Valley cases.“The insanity is over, we’re putting New Yorkers first,” Blakeman declared.

“On January 1st, as governor, I will sign an executive order, New York State is no longer a sanctuary state.”The Nassau County executive slammed Hochul for blocking local police and sheriffs from working with federal immigration agents.“One of the toughest days of my being county executive was the day that I had to tell our police and our sheriffs that they could no longer cooperate with ICE because of Kathy Hochul,” he said.Lawler brought up Juan Guambana, 50, of Ossining, who is accused of standing on the roof of a woman’s Chappaqua home with his pants down, recording her through her bathroom window.Detectives arrested Guambana on Oct.1 and charged him with charged with six felony counts of unlawful surveillance, according to a report. Guambana was already deported in 2020 but came back in 2021, Lawler said.Lawler also pointed to Putnam County, where Diego Rodriguez-Ordonez, 24, was arrested twice in 18 hours on Sept.

29.Rodriguez-Ordonez, of Brewster, was picked up after he allegedly robbed a Kent gas station and assaulted a clerk who tried to stop him, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s office.He was later released and that night, arrested again after he was accused of forcibly touching a woman aboard a Metro North train at Southeast station, cops said. Lawler said Rodriguez-Ordonez was deported before in 2018 and has eight criminal convictions.Lawler said a Department of ...
