Not because of a lack of care from the community or bad curation, but because, like most parties in Los Angeles, costs are rising and they are simply not making enough money.Trans*cendent is something between a public and private event, emphasizing music and dancing, creating community gatherings held in secret locations which are announced hours before the party to ticketholders only.It operates on a shoestring budget, providing a fun and sexy respite from the dangers and stressors of transphobia for a few hours, set to a soundtrack created by trans and queer DJs.DJ and party attendee Sarah Graves loves the queer vendors selling accessories, giving out harm-reduction materials, and zines, and the Piercings by Mire booth that frequently pops up at the rave.
