Abuse victim once consoled by NYC mom killed in 15-story shove speaks out: Were not protected

Months before she was thrown to her death from a 15-story balcony, allegedly by an abusive boyfriend, a Bronx mom consoled another domestic violence victim — who now regrets not reaching out sooner.“She reached out to me on Instagram when I posted my own domestic violence situation,” Brianna Rios, 24, told The Post outside the Bronx apartment building where Nathaly Ramirez was killed.“I had two black eyes, and my nose was broken, and she reached out saying that everything was gonna be okay and I was gonna heal, and if anything happens, if I wanted to reach out to her to feel free to reach out to her and I’d never been able to reach out to her,” Rios said through tears.“I didn’t see the message because my post was going viral at the time.

I wasn’t able to respond to her,” she said.“I wasn’t able to be a good friend to her.” Ramirez, 23, died after being thrown off her balcony while clutching her 8-month-old daughter, who survived the fall and is now clinging to life at Jacobi Hospital Medical Center.

The baby’s dad, Angel Carrasco, 31, fled but was arrested Wednesday by US Marshals and NYPD cops, and is facing murder and attempted murder charges.He flashed a sinister grin as he was led to court in handcuffs on Thursday.

Carrasco had twice been charged in domestic violence incidents involving Ramirez in January, and sources said brought her flowers this week in a lame and failed attempt to reconcile.On June 16, Rios was also a victim of domestic violence and posted a video of her battered face online with the message, “once a man puts his hands on you, get him unalived immediately.”Shortly before noon that day, she got a message from a stranger — one of hundreds she received.“Feel better soon gorgeous,” Ramirez wrote.“God is good you’re recover soon!
