Trump rails against Nobel committee again for denying him peace prize

President Trump renewed his criticism Saturday of the Norwegian Nobel Committee for passing him over for the long-sought Nobel Peace Prize.In a Truth Social post, Trump claimed he had “settled 8 Wars” and was close to “settling, or win[ning], two more” — arguing that his record made him more deserving of the honor than this year’s recipient, South African jurist Navi Pillay.Trump cited a range of achievements he said should have earned him the prize, including his administration’s operation to capture Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, efforts to secure the return of Israeli hostages held by Hamas and US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.Maduro is now facing narco-terrorism charges in New York.He posted that he “won a war in Venezuela, and captured the violent dictator who so viciously ran that country, and stopped the number one state sponsor of terror, the Islamic Republic of Iran, from obtaining a Nuclear Weapon — AND MUCH MORE! Yet, with all of that I, or the United States of America, did not get the Noble Peace Prize.
