Bus rider stabbed blocks from busy NYC transit hub: cops

A Queens bus rider was stabbed during an argument just blocks away from one of New York City’s busiest intersections, cops said. The 56-year-old man was knifed once in the leg while aboard a Q44-SBS MTA bus near Main Street and 39th Avenue in Flushing around 9:20 a.m.Sunday, according to the NYPD.A verbal dispute between the middle-aged bus rider and another passenger soon turned violent, leading to the knifing, police said.EMS rushed the victim to nearby Booth Memorial Hospital, where he is in stable condition, according to authorities. A person of interest was taken into custody after the assault, cops said.
