IndyCar star fears family dogs were dognapped in California

IndyCar standout Graham Rahal is dealing with a dog owner’s worst nightmare.Rahal, a 37-year-old California resident, reposted his wife Courtney’s Instagram Story on Wednesday morning with the caption, “Missing!! / Help us find our boys, Arrow and Beau./ They got out of our gate and seemingly got picked up in a car, just down the street from our house.“However, the tracker device on his collar showed they went from Yorba Linda to Tustin then back to Brea, before just his tracker was found on the side of the road, in the bushes, in Brea,” the story’s caption continued.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t sound like a simple case of dogs running away.Rahal, who has been racing in IndyCar for 20 years, spoke with TMZ on Wednesday and shared why he believes dognappers stole his dogs.He claimed the family’s gate malfunctioned, which allowed the dogs to leave the premises.A tracker on one of the dogs showed that they had been picked up by a vehicle about 200 yards from the house. After that, the vehicle that picked up the dogs seemingly made several stops before the tracker was thrown out of the car into some bushes on the side of the road.
But it wasn’t the entire collar that was discarded, just the tracking device on it, which essentially proves the device was taken off intentionally.Only one dog was wearing a tracker but both have microchips implanted, which means the Rahal family will be notified if they show up at a shelter. The dogs’ last known location was Brea on Tuesday night....
