Drama grows around Eagles offensive line as star calls out GM, coach about future

The Eagles can’t afford to lose another one. Offensive lineman Landon Dickerson is nearing a return from a bone bruise in his right knee, and there were rumors that he could retire this offseason, though he didn’t want to talk about his future in Philadelphia this week. Dickerson was asked if the thinks the team’s brass still believes in him as the long-term answer at guard.“That’s an upstairs decision, but I would very much enjoy to stay here my whole career,” Dickerson told reporters on Wednesday.“That’s a great question,” Dickerson added.
“Do they have a media day for (coach) Nick [Sirianni] and (GM) Howie [Roseman]? You can ask them that.”Dickerson’s practice window opened earlier this week and his normal spot along the offensive line is currently being handled by undrafted second-year player Willie Lampkin.Lampkin has a tough 44.6 Pro Football Focus grade but has at least one more week to prove to the powers in Philadelphia that he deserves their confidence along the offensive line. Lampkin played all 62 snaps in the Eagles’ shocking choke job to the Jaguars in London where they lost 19-17 on a last-second field goal. Lampkin allowed no sacks and had no penalties against him, but he coughed up five quarterback pressures and one hit to QB Jalen Hurts.Dickerson, 28, played the full 2025 season while battling through multiple injuries, and had a 67.2 overall PFF grade, which is about middle of the pack compared to the rest of the league. Dickerson’s uncertain future comes with the team’s offensive line in turmoil with tackle Lane Johnson retiring last week and the team then trading away center/guard Cam Jurgens to the Ravens for a second-round draft pick days later.“Lane was filled with a lot and he did what was best for him,” Dickerson said of Johnson’s retirement.

It’s tough to see guys leave but at the end of the day it...
