Christian singer Natalie Grant urges fans not to 'ignore your body' after fall led to emergency surgery

Christian singer, Natalie Grant, is opening up about a crazy health scare.During a recent interview with Fox News Digital, the 54-year-old singer discussed what it meant to her to honor Dolly Parton at the Dove Awards, and how she ended up in the hospital with internal bleeding.Grant explained that after moving her daughter into her dorm room at college, they went out to dinner together with her husband, and on the way her foot "caught this brick on the ground" and she "belly flopped" onto the ground."I thought, 'Oh, maybe I broke a rib' or 'Man, that's gonna leave a bruise' or 'I kind of knocked the wind out of me,'" she said."But then I got up and I kept walking to dinner.
I'm like, I'm sore, but I'm gonna be okay.It wasn't until I realized that I was bleeding internally.
And when I realized that it was an emergency, got to the emergency room. And they were like your bladder could rupture, because my kidney was bleeding, and I wasn't able to pass urine."Grant shared how a simple fall on the way to dinner led to internal bleeding.

But they all let me know like if you wouldn't have come in, like I talked about maybe going to a bigger hospital, and they said 'No you were really smart to come as fast as you could and get here as quickly as you can,' because if I didn't my bladder would have actually ruptured and I wouldn't have known it."WATCH HERE: NATALIE GRANT SUFFERED INTERNAL BLEEDING AFTER SHE ‘BELLY FLOPPED’ ON HER WAY TO DINNERThe singer went on to say that even through all her pain, she was thinking about her children ...
