The Doobie Brothers are not “Takin’ It to the Streets” in 2027.Michael McDonald and co.just announced a nine-concert residency at Las Vegas’ 3,800-seat Fontainebleau.Their shows — the group’s first at the Fontainebleau — are slated to take place in February, March, August and September.“Black water, desert nights,” the group shared via Instagram, referencing their iconic 1974 song.Prior to this multi-month stint, the Rock Hall of Famers last put on a Sin City residency in May 2022.At those concerts, the group often performed 23 songs per show, according to Set List FM.

Just a few of the most notable tracks that often made their way to the stage include fan favorites “Listen to the Music,” “Long Train Runnin’,” “It Keeps You Runnin'” and, of course, “Black Water” and “Takin’ It to the Streets.”More recently, they toured with Santana (whose ongoing Vegas residency at The House of Blue runs from November ’26 through May ’27) on their Oneness Tour.“[They] came out of the gate with a bang, with an energy that did not let up throughout their hour-and-a-half set, as they put on a tight, well-rehearsed show, with spot on harmonies and expert musicianship,” Americana Highways raved in a review of a July 2026 show in Saratoga Springs.“It was a pleasure to see and hear the regal Michael McDonald, who can still sing with that wonderfully soulful voice of his.Founding members Pat Simmons (with his ever-present pleasant, congenial disposition) and Tom Johnston (the rugged mustached rocker) sounded great vocally and both played some dynamic guitar solos during the night.”Now we can’t wait to “Listen To The Music.” Tickets officially go on sale to the general public on Friday, Oct.
