Clippers arena hosts viral hot mic mishap sparks fart speculation

The Los Angeles Clippers might not have been the only thing that stank in the Intuit Dome last night. The Clippers fell to 1-3 after their 103-87 loss to the Lakers on Wednesday night.
However, a moment involving their in-arena host is getting the most attention.Hannah Cormier is entering her fifth season with the Clippers organization and second as the in-arena host and MC.She was on camera during one point in the game, appearing to not realize they were rolling. She seemed to notice a few seconds later, which sparked a terrified look on her face.
She gathered herself quickly before saying, “Clipper Nation, the ladies are back performing to ‘Gemstone’.Give it up for our Clippers spirit!”As Cormier walked away, the microphone caught a sound that sounded conspicuously like a fart.
An X user posted a video of this entire debacle with the caption, “NBA reporter farts, stumbles over her words, walks off”.The clip has gone viral, amassing over 390,000 views in about 10 hours.
There is some debate about what the sound actually was. Some believe it was truly Cormier passing gas that was caught on the microphone, while others are claiming is was either microphone static or something else the microphone inadvertently picked up.
Fans can come up with their own conclusions about what the sound was.Regardless, this mic’d up mishap provided a welcome distraction to the Clippers’ mediocre on-court product....
