NYC home invaders in Amazon uniforms zip-tied woman, 89, held son at gunpoint for measly $24

Three callous home invaders posing as Amazon workers bound an 89-year-old Bronx woman with zip ties and pointed a gun at her son’s head Tuesday as they robbed the place of just $24 and some personal items, cops and sources said. The trio rang the doorbell of the Jerome Park apartment around 11:15 a.m., and the son, 70, opened the door, thinking it was his mother’s boyfriend, according to the sources. Instead, a masked man and woman wearing Amazon vests and another man in all black clothing pushed their way inside, cops and sources said. One of suspects held the unsuspecting son at gunpoint – demanding money – before zip-tying his elderly mom’s hands, the sources said. They ransacked the Bainbridge Avenue and East 199th Street unit before grabbing the son’s cell phone, a home phone, a wallet, credit cards and a measly $24, according to cops and sources. The intruders fled the scene on foot and had not been caught by Wednesday, police said. Surveillance images slow the suspects striding down the sidewalk, with the vest-wearing duo carrying what sources said were empty Amazon parcels. Both victims were treated on scene for minor injuries, cops said. Anyone with information on the alleged robbers’ whereabouts is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/, or on X @NYPDTips....
