Trent McDuffies mysterious absence raises red flags for Rams

What initially appeared to be a minor injury for Rams cornerback Trent McDuffie is suddenly becoming a major concern this week.McDuffie missed his second consecutive practice Thursday as the Rams prepare for Sunday’s pivotal matchup against the Commanders, raising questions about whether their All-Pro cornerback will be available. The troubling development comes days after McDuffie took a knee to the back during the Rams’ 24-9 victory over the Chargers. He immediately headed to the locker room before eventually returning to the sideline. On Monday, coach Sean McVay sounded optimistic.“Trent obviously had the knee to the back.
Came in feeling better than maybe what we expected,” McVay said.“We’ll monitor him as the week goes as well.”McDuffie echoed that optimism.“My back is feeling OK,” McDuffie said Monday.
