Rangers nearing extension with trade deadline acquisition Juuso Parssinen

Now that the Rangers have their coach, the roster work can begin.The Blueshirts are closing in on an extension with pending restricted free agent forward Juuso Pärssinen, The Post’s Larry Brooks reported Friday.The deal is expected to come in at two years with an average annual value of $1.25 million. Pärssinen came to New York, along with defenseman Calvin de Haan and two conditional 2025 draft picks, in a March 1 trade with the Avalanche that sent Ryan Lindgren, Jimmy Vesey and prospect Hank Kempf to Colorado.
