Knicks season on the rocks as comeback falls agonizingly short in Game 2 of Eastern Conference finals

The Knicks will need to be road warriors after a fourth-quarter rally fell painfully short in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals on Friday night.The Knicks fell 114-109 to the Pacers when Jalen Brunson ran out of heroics, missing a game-tying 3 in the final seconds.They now trail the series 2-0 headed back to Indiana.Pascal Siakam torched the Knicks for 39 points, almost single-handedly keeping the Pacers in the game in the first half with Tyrese Haliburton mostly quiet.Mitchell Robinson was a workhorse for the Knicks, keeping possession after possession alive with his work on the offensive boards.He received a standing ovation from Knicks fans when he was taken out of the game in the second quarter after a stretch of playing 16 consecutive minutes.The game was back and forth for the first three quarters with the game tied 81-81 heading into the final frame.The Pacers got separation early in fourth quareter with an 11-2 run.
