Annoying little st T.J. MCconnell yet again pestering Knicks entering critical Game 3

INDIANAPOLIS — One year ago, Josh Hart offered what probably sounded to some like an insult.But coming from a consummate irritant like him, it was meant as the ultimate compliment.Hart labeled veteran Pacers guard T.J.McConnell “an annoying little sh-t” during last year’s second-round playoff series against the Pacers, and that description certainly has held true through the Knicks’ two home losses to Indiana to start this year’s Eastern Conference finals.McConnell, a 10-year NBA veteran who seems to often find a way to impact games against the Knicks, scored 10 points in 14 minutes off the bench in each of the Pacers’ two wins at Madison Square Garden before the series shifted to Gainbridge Fieldhouse for Game 3 on Sunday night.“Our bench has done a really good job.

I thought McConnell was terrific,” Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said after Game 2.“At this time of year you have to play with a certain attitude, you have to play with a defiance.“It’s kind of defined T.J.’s 10-year career in the NBA.
