Arnold Schwarzenegger could never tell son Christopher that he was overweight before 30-pound weight loss

Arnold Schwarzenegger is weighing in on his son Christopher’s body transformation.The “Terminator” actor, 77, spoke to The Times in an interview published Saturday about how he handled Christopher, 27, dealing with weight issues during his childhood.“I could never go and say to him, ‘You’re overweight,’” said Arnold, who shares Christopher, Patrick, 31, Katherine, 35, and Christina, 33, with ex-wife Maria Shriver.
“We just kept introducing healthy foods.We introduced him always to the gym and all of that kind of stuff,” he added about Christopher.“And then, out of nowhere, he decided that he wanted to be lean,” Arnold recalled.
“And now he is.So that is, of course, fantastic, the self-discipline and the self-motivation.
I always felt one day it will have to come from him — and it did.”Christopher shocked fans with his weight loss transformation when he stepped out in Los Angeles in April with his brother Patrick.Last month, Christopher spoke about his weight loss for the first time at the Inaugural Beacher Vitality Happy & Healthy Summit, revealing that he lost 30 pounds just from giving up bread for Lent.“I started in 2019 when I was living in Australia,” he said of his process.
“I was on this big trip.I made it a big [deal] like, ‘Oh, I’m going to go out and do all this stuff, be in Australia,’ and I just saw how much my weight was prohibiting me from doing the everyday activities.”Christopher explained that his inability to go skydiving on the trip sparked his decision to lose weight.Furthermore, Christopher admitted that he’s “tried everything” to get skinnier since high school.“I was doing meal delivery things in high school, and I remember feeling like a weirdo when I was bringing weird lunches to school,” he recalled.
