Confused chicken crosses to the wrong side of road, ends up at a Buffalo Wild Wings

This chicken should reconsider crossing roads. A wayward hen ended up wandering to the front door of an Iowa Buffalo Wild Wings, according to an animal rescue organization. The “poor, confused” chicken was rescued by the Animal Rescue League of Iowa at a Des Moines franchise of the sports bar themed restaurant. “WHAT THE CLUCK? Talk about a chicken on the wrong side of the road,” the Animal Rescue League of Iowa wrote in a Facebook post about the chicken.“Luckily an ARL Animal Services officer was called to rescue this poor, confused hen from in front of Buffalo Wild Wings on SE 14th in Des Moines today.”A good Samaritan called the Animal Rescue League of Iowa, the largest nonprofit animal shelter in the state, and thus the chicken avoided being dipped in one of Buffalo Wild Wings 21 signature sauces. The chicken is safe and receiving necessary care. The rescue organization used the brazen bird’s close call to promote a program they have for chicken adoptions.
Although this lucky chicken is not up for adoption, the organization said. A picture in the post shows a patient animal services officer chasing the chicken around the building before he is finally able to capture it.All animals are adopted out as family pets, the organization was careful to stress. “Interested in adding to your flock,” Animal Rescue League wrote.“While this hen isn’t currently available for adoption, we have many others who are.” One member of the Animal Rescue League suggested naming the chicken “Choses,” a combination of chicken and Moses. The yet-to-be-named chicken avoided joining the estimated two billion chickens that Buffalo Wild Wings sells annually, according to Delish.
