NYC hospital tops major health care ranking for fourth year in a row

New York City hospitals have once again earned top spots in national health care rankings, with NYU Langone Health earning number one recognition as a “comprehensive academic medical center” for the fourth year in a row.Vizient, a health care improvement company, announced its rankings in several categories in Las Vegas this week.Langone’s Brooklyn and Long Island hospitals earned specific accolades, as did Northwell Health, Hackensack University Medical Center and several hospitals within the NewYork-Presbyterian system including Weill Cornell Medical Center.This is the fourth year in a row that NYU Langone’s Manhattan inpatient locations took the top spot on the list of comprehensive academic medical centers.The Long Island and Brooklyn hospitals were in the top 10 for the large specialized complex medical center category.“This recognition is further affirmation of the top-quality health care patients can expect across all NYU Langone locations,” Alec C.
