Have mercy!John Stamos has set the record straight regarding whether he would leave his wife, Caitlin McHugh, for Lori Loughlin amid the fellow “Full House” alum’s separation from Mossimo Giannulli. The surprising incident unfolded during the episode of Ben Soffer and Josh Peck’s “Good Guys” podcast released Monday, shortly after Stamos opened up about his and Loughlin’s rumored romantic history.“A lot of people think, ‘Oh, you guys were romantic,’ or whatever,” the actor, 62, began.“You know, I happened to say she was the one that got away in something – I think it was before I met Caitlin – and, you know, it was an interesting thing.”“I wrote about in the book, there was a very small window of the two of us being single at the same time,” he continued regarding his 2023 memoir, “If You Would Have Told Me.”Despite starring together as the married couple Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky in “Full House” and again more recently in “Fuller House,” Stamos made it clear that the pair were never romantically involved.“There was a moment where I had the choice, I think, and I was more into the rebellious,” he explained while comparing Loughlin, 61, to ex-wife Rebecca Romijn.
