A 61-year-old cruise passenger was reportedly found dead inside her cabin while on a Mediterranean voyage with her family — a trip she had taken with her family as a birthday gift for her husband.The English cruiser was found unresponsive in her cabin around 12:30 a.m.Sunday, while the unidentified ship was docked off the La Croisette, a famous seaside street in Cannes, France, according to French outlet Nice-Matin.The ship’s crew alerted local authorities as a doctor on board tried to revive the unidentified woman for about 30 minutes before she was pronounced dead.Her body was removed from the ship and returned to her family, the outlet reported.A medical examiner deemed there was no foul play connected with her death, declaring that she likely died of a heart attack, according to the publication.The woman was on a family trip to celebrate her husband’s birthday, according to the report.Her body was transported to a burial site in Cannes by the fire department and returned to her family, bringing the celebratory cruise to a tragic end.It’s unclear which cruise line the family was traveling with, but the ship was slated to make pit stops at Livorno, Italy, and Cannes before reaching its final destination in Barcelona, Spain.In July, multiple federal agencies investigated a death on board a Texas-based Carnival Dream cruise ship.An unidentified person died on the Galveston-based Dream, the FBI Houston office confirmed to The Post.Passengers aboard the ship, which travels to Costa Maya, Belize, and Cozumel, woke up to sirens around 3 a.m.
