Prince William is willing to take extreme action to ensure Prince Andrew moves out of Royal Lodge.Emily Maitlis, the BBC journalist who sat down with Andrew, 65, in 2019 for his infamous “car crash” Newsnight interview, recently claimed that William, 43, threatened to strip Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s royal titles if their father didn’t agree to leave his $38 million royal home.“There was a question over whether there had been, earlier in the day, a meeting between Prince William and the princesses, Beatrice and Eugenie, saying you guys have to get your dad to move out of Royal Lodge otherwise we will start re-examining the state of your own titles,” Maitlis said on Monday’s episode of “The News Agent” podcast.“They are at the moment allowed to be princesses, but there was a bit of pressure, we understand, being put on the princesses to say this is going to happen,” Maitlis continued.The TV host noted that Andrew — who gave up his royal title, the Duke of York, following the controversy surrounding his friendship with late convicted millionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein — “would want to keep his daughters happy and keep their titles in place come what may.”Maitlis also alleged that King Charles planned to meet with Andrew at Royal Lodge last week to “read the riot act” to his disgraced brother.“Nobody was going to film the conversation or see him stepping out the car but there was going to be the moment caught on camera of King Charles’s car heading to Royal Lodge,” Maitlis explained.“What happened, I understand, was that the Palace then got very nervous and when they saw the choppers and helicopters, they thought this has all got too big, this has got out of control, they cancelled the whole thing,” she alleged.
