Jets OTs Olu Fashanu and Armand MembouIn the postgame locker room in Cincinnati, a few Jets were looking at their phones, checking scores from other games when someone blurted out, “Myles Garrett had five sacks.” Players reacted with disbelief.Garrett is the sort of player to make fellow NFL players marvel at his play.The superstar is second in the league with 10 sacks and leads a defense that is ranked second overall, allowing 276.9 yards per game.Garrett needs two sacks to become the first player to reach 12 in six consecutive seasons, breaking a tie with Giants legend Lawrence Taylor.Membou, a rookie, and Fashanu, a second-year player, have played well for the Jets this season, but this will be their biggest test, even bigger than Steelers star T.J.

Watt in Week 1.“Garrett needs a lot of attention and he’s just that type of player, but our guys are ready for that,” Jets coach Aaron Glenn said.“And listen, we had that with Watt, we had to give him a lot of attention, too, so it won’t be anything new for us and there’s going to be times where guys are going to be one-on-one, and when you are one-on-one, you got to win your battle.”QB question: Jets coach Aaron Glenn chose not to reveal who his starting quarterback would be for Sunday’s game again this week.

It would be hard to see why he would bench Justin Fields after the performance he had in Cincinnati to get their first win.Fields went 21-of-32 for 244 yards with a touchdown and orchestrated the 39-38 comeback win.Tyrod Taylor practiced this week and is healthy after a knee injury kept him sidelined against the Bengals.While Glenn kept up the gamesmanship, the expectation is it will be Fields under center.
