Lions Amon-Ra St. Brown breaks out Trump Dance while pointing to president in box after touchdown

Amon-Ra St.Brown knew his audience. The Lions’ star receiver broke out the “Trump Dance” during Sunday’s game against the Commanders with President Donald Trump in attendance at Northwest Stadium.The celebration came out near the end of the first quarter after he caught a nine-yard touchdown pass from Jared Goff to help extend the Lions’ lead to 14-3. St.

Brown dove over the goal line and stood back up, pointing up before pointing off to an area in the stands and then did the “Trump Dance” with three other teammates joining in before he started to make his way back to the sideline. Trump was on hand for Sunday’s game in Landover, Md.and took part in the NFL’s “Salute to Service,” honoring military veterans.The president took in the game from a suite inside the stadium and was accompanied by House Speaker Mike Johnson and other members of his cabinet, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.Trump appeared on the Fox NFL broadcast of the game and was with Kenny Albert and Jonathan Vilma for roughly eight and a half minutes. Trump became the first sitting president since 1978 to attend an NFL regular-season game, joining Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter. Trump was the first sitting president ever to attend the Super Bowl, when he took in part of the Eagles’ 40-22 victory over the Chiefs in February. The “Trump Dance” became popular during his campaign in 2024, and athletes adopted the president’s signature move at times last year. Lions defenders Malcolm Rodriguez and Za’Darius Smith were among those to do it last November.49ers defensive lineman Nick Bosa and Raiders tight end Brock Bowers also broke out the president’s signature dance move last season....
