Knock it off.Masked California teenagers have caused hundreds of dollars in damage as part of a twisted TikTok challenge, making a resurgence among the youngsters.The reckless delinquents have plagued the residents of Elk Grove with the menacing “Door Kick Challenge,” where pranksters rush up to a targeted house and kick the front door as hard as they can before scurrying away.Elk Grove, a community 15 miles south of Sacramento, has seen at least eight incidents where the teens have caused damage, Elk Grove Police Department said on Facebook Monday.One attack left a door with $900 worth of damage to the doorframe.Anything above $950 includes felony charges and the minor’s parents would be responsible for paying the bill, CBS News Sacramento reported.Property damage exceeding $400 is considered a felony vandalism under California law.Two of the hooligans were captured storming up a home before turning around and bashing their feet into the wooden front door, according to video shared by police.Police arrested two 13-year-olds on Friday and charged them with causing more $680 in damage, police said.“Three juveniles” were previously arrested in November for similar pranks.Officials didn’t reveal the ages or names of the trio of youngsters.Residents who fell victim to the online pranks cautioned the youngsters of continuing their attacks, worrying they might target the wrong home.“Somebody could come out with a gun, and you could never know, these kids could be dead just for a stupid prank,” Ronnie Monroe told CBS13.
