Marriage on his mind.Keith Urban critiqued a song about marriage on Sunday night’s episode of his CBS show “The Road,” filmed before his split from Nicole Kidman was revealed.The country singer, 58, offered guidance to contestant Jenny Tolman who was practicing her song “Married in a Honky Tonk” ahead of a concert at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma.Urban told Tolman to switch to a higher note, which Tolman appreciated.However, Tolman was eliminated at the end of the episode.
“The Road” follows 12 aspiring musicians as they compete to open for Urban at music venues across the country.The series has included hints that Urban’s marriage to Kidman, 58, was on the rocks after nearly 20 years.During the Oct.19 series premiere, Urban performed his song “Straight Line” — which he had previously said is about “wanting to break out of a soul-sucking routine that you might be stuck in.”Earlier in the episode, Urban said that he feels “lonely and miserable” while on tour.News broke in September that Urban and Kidman separated and had been living apart since “since the beginning of summer.” The “Big Little Lies” actress officially filed for divorce from her husband on Sept.
