Exclusive | Thirsty Bill de Blasio brings his awkward date life drama to election as ex quits campaign

Former Mayor Bill de Blasio butted into Michael Blake’s bid for Congress — causing “drama” within the campaign and leading his ex flame to call it quits, The Post has learned.Nomiki Konst left Blake’s campaign on Thursday following a series of “strategic” disagreements between the progressive political operative and Blake, with de Blasio’s endorsement spiraling into a top issue.“The endorsement caused drama,” a source said. The ex-mayor backed Blake in mid-November — just days after news broke that Konst kicked Blaz to the curb when she found out he was making a different type of endorsement with the mayor of South Tucson, Roxanna Valenzuela.Insiders said Blaz was trying to make up for cheating on Konst, who was serving as a strategist and spokesperson for Blake.Blake — a reverend and former assemblyman — launched his campaign on the coattails of democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani’s win in the mayoral election.
Blake is looking to challenge sitting Bronx Rep.Ritchie Torres, who refused to back the mayor-elect during the election.News of the latest break-up surrounding the 64-year-old comes after The Post reported the incoming socialist mayor had iced out Blaz as his love life continued to grab headlines.De Blasio, who was spotted at least once sporting a “Hot Girls for Zohran” shirt during the election, has been a top cheerleader of Mamdani and has played a key role in connecting the young mayor with former city staffers to build out his team. Most notably, de Balsio connected the far left lawmaker with Dean Fuleihan, a budget guru who was named Mamdani’s first deputy mayor last month.Neither Blake nor de Blasio returned calls for comment.
