Needlessly irate R&B singer Trey Songz arrested after allegedly punching NYC nightclub worker

R&B singer Trey Songz was busted for punching a Manhattan nightclub employee in the face in a tantrum over being told the spot was closing for the evening, prosecutors said Sunday.The 41-year-old singer, whose real name is Tremaine Aldon Neverson, was partying with his crew at Times Square spot Dramma Night Club on Dec.6 when a worker told him it was closing time at around 4 a.m.
— sparking him to become “needlessly irate,” prosecutors said in Manhattan criminal court.Neverson appeared in court Sunday on charges of assault in the third degree and mischief in the second degree.The “Mr.Steal Your Girl” singer sported a black face mask as he was granted supervised release.
The worker was granted an order of protection against Neverson, who is apparently a regular at the night spot, according to prosecutors.He declined comment as he hopped into a black SUV after his appearance.“Have a good night, brother,” Neverson told a photographer seeking comment.The feisty music artist has had his share of legal run-ins.In 2016, he was charged with aggravated assault and has been accused of rape and sexual assault.He’s due back in court on Feb.
