Tom Cruise looks unrecognizable in teaser for new comedy Digger

It’s impossible. Tom Cruise is teaming up with Oscar-winning “The Revenant” director Alejandro González Iñárritu – and in the new “Digger” teaser, the “Mission: Impossible” actor looks unrecognizable. In the first trailer for the upcoming comedy, Cruise, 63, is only shown in silhouette and from far away.His face isn’t revealed.
However, his hair in the movie is thinning and grey – a marked change from his typical full head of dark hair. Since Cruise has starred in action movies like the “Mission: Impossible” franchise well into his sixth decade, he hasn’t embraced aging, or playing characters who look or act like typical 60-something men.Instead, Cruise has been hanging off planes and riding motorcycles at the Olympics.
Playing a man who looks visibly older is a marked departure for the “Eyes Wide Shut” actor. It’s not without precedent, however.Cruise previously threw aside his vanity to play an overweight balding Harvey Weinstein-esque movie mogul in the 2008 Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr.
