Teen shot as lawless mob takes over DTLA streets hours after student agitators clashed with cops nearby

A teenager has been shot after gunfire erupted at a chaotic street takeover in downtown Los Angeles overnight.The 18-year-old was rushed to hospital with a bullet wound after a gun went off at 1.06am in the area of 18th and Main streets.Cops descended on the scene but the hooligans had quickly dispersed before they could make any arrests, the LAPD said.It came just hours after federal agents were attacked by high school students two miles away outside City Hall, with one being injured by a rock.Shocking footage captured the street takeover as modified cars revved their engines and performed donuts near a crosswalk.One clip showed a hooded figure hanging out the back window of one of the vehicles as they drifted across the pavement.Dozens formed a ring around the daredevils as their tires screeched and smoke billowed across the neighborhood.Later footage showed a man in joggers lying on the floor appearing to be treated by an officer following the dramatic scenes.Hours earlier multiple federal agents were injured – including an ICE officer hit in the head with a rock – during a brutal confrontation with high schoolers outside City Hall at around 1.30pm.A DHS spokesman told the Post: “On February 13, a group of about 200-300 rioters and agitators gathered outside in ICE building in Los Angeles.“They threw objects including rocks at law enforcement.One ICE officer was hit in the head with a rock thrown and was injured.”“Two Federal Protective Services officers were injured, one in the hospital with concussion and the other with a cut over his eye.
