Jets cancel pre-draft meeting with David Bailey it could mean a couple of things

In the search for breadcrumbs on what the Jets will do with the No.2 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, one emerged that may or may not have meaning.A source confirmed the Jets canceled their scheduled top-30 visit with Texas Tech edge rusher David Bailey.
The Jets are expected to take either Bailey or Ohio State edge Arvell Reese with their first pick next week. The Jets met with Bailey at his pro day last month and have done extensive work on him. They did not feel they needed to meet with him again.
Teams are limited to having 30 players at their training center for a pre-draft visit. The motivation behind who to invite to those varies.
Sometimes teams have questions about prospects they need answered.Sometimes they have had limited exposure to a player during the pre-draft process and want more time with them. The canceled visit with Bailey could mean nothing but there is also a school of thought that a team would want to spend as much time as possible with a player they were considering drafting at No.
2.That is a huge investment, so why pass up another opportunity to gather more information on the player. The debate between Bailey and Reese will continue for another week and then the Jets will provide their answer....
