England just dropped a Beatles-inspired World Cup roster video and fans cant stop watching

England leaned into British mythology on Friday morning when they unveiled their 26-man roster for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a Beatles-themed video that featured the song “Come Together.” The video opens with a vintage clip of a young John Lennon being asked if he thinks The Beatles are very English. His response: “I think we’re jolly English, actually.”Then the unmistakable first notes of “Come Together” hit like a flare in the night as a fan runs down a London street wearing the team’s World Cup jersey and the camera zooms in on the Three Lions crest. The names of the players are revealed on store front signs, taxi-cab advertisements, and street posters.
But that was just the beginning. As the video transitions into a yellow-submarine themed cartoon with lions dancing beside submarines, more names are revealed.
Colors explode onto the screen as we enter into a night club complete with cowboy boots, jean jackets, vintage England jerseys and a photo booth.More players’ names are revealed on clothing, the photo booth photos and children’s t-shirts spelling out “K-A-N-E.” It was stylish.
It was bold.It was slightly weird.
It was very Beatles. It was also reminiscent of the NFL schedule reveals from last week.England understood the assignment. Captain Harry Kane leads a squad loaded with attacking talent including Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford and Jude Bellingham.
Declan Rice controls the midfield while manager Thomas Tuchel guides the team composed of entrusted veterans and rising young stars. England has the third-best odds to win the 2026 World Cup and is currently ranked as the fourth best team in the world. However, history is not on their side.England has not won the World Cup since 1966 and since 1990, have only advanced beyond the quarterfinals once. But this squad feels different. They’ll open Group L play against Croatia on June 17 in Arlington, Texas after tune-up matches against New Zealand and Costa Rica in Florida....
