Hot Since 82 has announced a new album, Obsessions, due out on September 4th.Featuring nine tracks, the project marks the UK house music virtuoso’s first fourth full-length album and first since 2020’s Recovery.

“Obsessions features nine tracks and, remarkably for me, it’s the only album I’ve ever completed and handed in on time,” Hot Since 82 tells EDM.com.“Because of that, it feels like a real accomplishment and a complete body of work.
I’m incredibly proud of it.There are lots of different shades and styles of house music across the album, but every track is connected by the same passion and love for the music.
“I thoroughly enjoyed making this record, and it’s truly special to me.I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed creating it.” The album’s rollout kicked off today by virtue of its soulful lead single, ‘Shaded,’ which samples Shades of Rhythm’s ‘Sounds of Eden,’ a pioneering track from the 90s UK rave movement.
