Cops use spike strip on chase suspect tied to deadly SoCal shooting

A driver believed to be connected to a deadly Pomona shooting was taken into custody Thursday night after leading CHP officers on a lengthy pursuit from the Castaic area to Lancaster, where authorities used a spike strip and a PIT maneuver to bring the chase to an end.The pursuit began hours after gunfire erupted around 3:30 p.m.near Monterey and Garey avenues in Pomona.Police said one person was killed according to NBC 4, earlier Thursday CBS reported that at least two people were wounded in the shooting, though the conditions of the surviving victims was not immediately known.CHP said the suspect was believed to be driving a black Kia wanted by the Pomona Police Department in connection with the shooting investigation.The California Post has reached out to the Pomona Police Department for comment.
