Pitchfork Launches New Olivia Rodrigo Zine

Today we’re launching Pitchfork’s first zine of 2026 with pop supernova Olivia Rodrigo.Since the arrival of her infectious 2021 debut Guts, the former Disney star has turned into one of music’s most astute songwriters with endearing, nuanced, occasionally vengeful tales of romance and heartbreak (showcased most recently on her third album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love). In our cover story, accompanied by photos from Collier Schorr, contributor Shaad D’Souza speaks to Rodrigo over dinner about writing her new LP, why she’s launching her own music festival (called Daisy Chain Fields, more on that here), and her interest in subverting the expectations of today’s pop stars.
As D’Souza writes, “Rodrigo is establishing that the arc of her career might not look how fans think it should—glitter, No.1s, pure pop—but that they should stick with her anyway.”Read our cover story here.
