2 shot in daylight attack across from NYCs Medgar Evers College: cops

Two people, including a teenager, were shot and wounded in a broad daylight attack across from Brooklyn’s Medgar Evers College Wednesday, cops said. A 17-year-old boy was blasted in the arm and a 27-year-old man was hit in both the arm and stomach around 12:30 p.m.opposite the historic CUNY school, at Bedford Avenue and Montgomery Street, police said. Both were taken to the Kings County Hospital Center, where they were listed in stable condition, authorities said.The suspected gunman, who was dressed in all black, fled on foot from the scene, and no arrests have been made, police said. It was not immediately clear whether the two victims were targeted, but they both have little to no criminal records, law enforcement sources said. A blood stain was still visible on the sidewalk in the aftermath of the shooting, next to a Lidl grocery store bag and a pair of sneakers abandoned on the ground. The mayhem came less than 24 hours after a 15-year-old boy was shot and wounded during Tuesday evening rush hour on the Lower East Side, cops said. The teen was blasted in the left leg just before 5:30 p.m.

at Stanton Street and the Bowery, and was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, police said. Two other boys, 14 and 17, were busted in connection to the shooting and charged with criminal possession of a weapon, authorities said. Footage reviewed by investigators shows the younger teen took the gun from the 17-year-old’s waistband, police said. But it couldn’t immediately be determined who fired the weapon, which was recovered, cops said....
