Disturbing footage shows Arizona cop pummeling pregnant woman in handcuffs

Newly released surveillance footage shows a Arizona police officer roughing up a 9-months-pregnant woman in handcuffs at a booking facility last year — as a grand jury indictment has forced the female cop out of the force.In the footage, Carri Carrico, 47, is seen shoving the 21-year-old victim into a wall and dragging her to a bench at the facility in Buckeye outside Phoenix in November 2025.The former officer is also seen swinging at the woman’s head.The pregnant woman was taken to the hospital with a contusion and a concussion, according to a court filing.

She told police that Carrico hit her after the officer took her into custody for reckless driving.Carrico’s body camera also showed her verbally berating the woman, calling her “gross,” “nasty,” and “an a—.”The officer is also accused of assaulting a man in custody two months later, punching him in the head as two other officers escorted him.Carrico slugged the man, who was suspected of domestic violence and aggravated assault, after he head-butted her, footage shows.The man claims she threw the punch while he was restrained.“She tore my shirt,” he is heard saying the footage.

“She punched me in the face when I was already restrained.”Carrico responded by threatening the man with violence.“I will smash you so hard into this f—ing wall you won’t see straight,” she said.“Do you understand me? Do you f—ing understand?”On May 27, a grand jury indicted her on two counts of aggravated assault for both incidents.
