Shocking video captured a man ripping a woman from his car and throwing her into the middle of a busy Chicago interstate — leaving her inches from being run over by a passing car.The terrifying incident happened Tuesday around 9 p.m.on I-55 South — where the highway speeds through the thick of Chicago — when a white Jeep SUV slammed on its brakes in the middle lane.As cars screeched to a halt, a slovenly-looking man in baggy black shorts and a T-shirt stepped out of the passenger-side door and began flashing the middle finger.He then slouched around the rear of the Jeep and wrenched the driver’s door open — then hurled a woman in a black dress out by the hair, sending her rolling across the highway.The woman came within inches of being run over by a passing car, which was forced to swerve into the emergency lane to avoid her.She lay motionless and face down on the shoulder of the fast lane with her shoes scattered about.By then, the man had gotten into his Jeep and sped off — without a single look back.Cars then began to slow down around the woman to form a makeshift barrier with their cars, while good Samaritans got out and rushed to help.Witnesses on the highway couldn’t believe what they were seeing — and were terrified of what they might find when they approached the woman.“Initially, I was scared, I thought it was going to be a dead body or something,” one driver told SWNS.

“The guy opens the passenger door, yanks the woman out of her car and throws her out onto the interstate.There were cars everywhere.”“He drove off and left her.

A few others and I stayed with her until the authorities arrived at the scene,” they added.The woman’s condition, along with whether the man was identified or apprehended, remains unclear.“Troop 3 responded to the location above for the report of a battery,” Illinois State Police told The Post.“This incident is still under investigation and no further information is available at this time....
