Germany fans hearts shattered following Round of 32 knockout

Heartbreak was sent across from Boston Stadium, all the way across the Atlantic Ocean, to Deutschland after Germany was eliminated by Paraguay.Germany’s hopes of winning the World Cup came crumbling down when José Canale fired a penalty shot to seal Paraguay‘s victory in a 4-3 shootout in the Round of 32, to give Paraguay their first World Cup victory over Germany and place them in the Round of 16.When Canale nailed the game-winning goal, videos rapidly started to emerge of the German fans’ hearts breaking.During a watch party in Berlin, fans thought goalkeeper Olive Baumann had a sure stop at the net, but as Baumann dove across the net, the ball went the opposite way, taking the breath out of the fans in attendance.German fans couldn’t believe what they witnessed as multiple of them were seen holding their hands over their heads, while others started to walk away in disbelief.A few fans were seen biting their lips, but clapping their hands, as a sign of sportsmanship following a long, tough match.Another German watch party showed fans stunned as they were crammed into a bar.The volume from the fans went from being electric to dead silence as they couldn’t believe what they saw.In 2014, Germany was the winner of the World Cup after defeating Argentina 1-0.
