Minion Todd is missing.Within two weeks of the “slime monster” and minion character installation at West Hollywood’s iconic Carney’s Train Restaurant, one of the beloved figures has been stolen.Employees say a brazen bandit drove up in broad daylight, snatched a Minion Todd statue right off the eatery’s railing on Sunset Boulevard and drove off, according to the WeHo Times.The security guard stationed at the popular burger was left dazed and confused by the lightning-fast heist, the report said.The entire advertising creation, named Irene, was installed at the Carney’s Train on June 18 by Monster City Studios to promote the animated movie “Minions and Monsters.” The incredible construction, with several pneumatic eyeballs, includes more than 18 Minion statues and an 80 ft long gigantic slime monster draped directly over the roof of the 1920s passenger coach.The studio said it was a “pretty big build” for them and heavy one too, so they had to create a structure above the train in order to not damage the 100-year-old vehicle.The 7th film in the “Despicable Me” franchise is set in 1920s Hollywood hit the theaters on July 1 across the nation.Two new minions –– James and Henry –– are debuting in the movie where a misfit tribe of Minions accidentally crashes a film set and become massive silent-film stars.Carney’s remains the ultimate relic of the Sunset Strip’s wild rock ‘n’ roll heyday.
