Argentina stuns Egypt with three late goals in epic World Cup comeback

Lionel Messi and Argentina just won’t be shut down. The reigning World Champs were tested against Egypt in the Round of 16, going down two goals Tuesday before storming back with three goals in the final 21 minutes to advance to the World Cup quarterfinals with a 3-2 victory.Christian Romero scored the first for Argentina in the 79th from a pinpoint cross from Messi to cut the deficit to 2-1. The goal jolted the rest of the South American team awake, as they started to apply constant pressure on Egypt. Messi looked incredibly sharp on the ball and earned a free look at goal in the 83rd minute because of it. The eight time Ballon d’Or winner rattled a volley past the Egyptian goalie Mostafa Shobeir, going off the crossbar and down, making up for his missed penalty in the 21st minute. Messi is now the only player to miss two penalties in the same edition of the World Cup.  Chelsea star Enzo Fernadez finished the deal for the Argentines with a game winner in the 93rd as the game fully opened up. Egypt looked dangerous for most of the game, scoring three times with one being disallowed due to a foul in the buildup. A strong corner routine resulted in the first goal in the 15th minute and a perfect counter attacker led to the second 52 minutes later.  Built for match days and everyday wear, this officially licensed USMNT tee brings classic national pride wherever you go.
