2026 Scottish Open picks: Best bets, odds, predictions for the Renaissance Club
Perhaps no tournament on the PGA Tour calendar has grown in stature over the last five years quite like the Scottish Open.Most events played the week before a major have trouble attracting elite players, but the Scottish Open offers something unique: A chance to adapt to the conditions across the pond.The headliners consistently took up this opportunity, and the field for the Scottish Open, which has been hosted at the Renaissance Club in North Berwick since 2019, began to look more akin to a major than your average PGA Tour event.The PGA took notice and worked with the DP World Tour to co-sanction the event back in 2022.Since then, it’s become one of the best non-majors on the calendar, and a favorite among golf die-hards on both sides of the Atlantic.Even with star-studded fields, the Scottish Open has produced some real surprise winners.
Going back to 2019, the average odds of the winners here are just north of 50/1, with Chris Gotterup (2025) and Min Woo Lee (2021) cashing as triple-digit long shots.A few heavyweights — Rory McIlroy in 2023 and Xander Schauffele in 2022 — have also emerged victorious at the Renaissance Club.McIlroy (10/1) and Schauffele (18/1) are two of four players, along with tournament-favorite Scottie Scheffler (+550) and Jon Rahm (15/1), under 20/1 this week.One of those players will lead our betting card at the Renaissance Club.He’s winless in 2026, but it’s still been a typically consistent campaign for Schauffele.
