An alligator that fatally mauled hiker Brittany Clark in Florida has been identified by the bite marks it left when it savaged the hiker’s arm.“A row of teeth on the gator head is consistent with teeth marks on the left arm,” the Orange County medical examiner’s preliminary report said, as seen by The Post.Clark, 31, was hiking with her boyfriend, Chance Allison, and friends in the Little Big Econ State Forest when they stopped to swim with their dogs in the Econlockhatchee River.The California native was in just three feet of water when the 12-foot alligator grabbed her by the arm and started a death roll, Grant Eller from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission told KPLCTV.A “death roll” is when an alligator latches onto potential prey and violently spins in the water to subdue or dismember it.Allison tried to rescue Clark when the alligator dragged them both underwater, releasing Clark for a moment before biting her other arm, according to the report.The report details that Clark suffered a partially severed left arm and an open fracture on her right arm in the course of the “death roll.”Trappers caught and killed two alligators in the wake of the incident, one a 12.5-footer and one a 13-footer, sending their DNA to a lab to determine if either killed Clark.The head of the alligator that killed Clark — the 12-footer — was kept in case it is needed to determine the cause and manner of death.The body of the alligator responsible for Clark’s death has already been buried, but photographs of its stomach contents were requested, according to the medical examiner’s report.Allison was eventually able to get Clark back to shore and call 911.Emergency responders found a “thready” pulse before she was rushed to hospital and pronounced dead at 2:48 p.m.on June 28, according to the report.Clark’s loved ones have paid tribute to her, describing her as someone who loved people, nature, and being outside.“Brittany was wonderful, s...
