Navys ultra low flyover causes chaos on Florida beach: Thought we were going to be taken out by Blue Angels

A Florida beach erupted into chaos Wednesday when an ultra-low-altitude Blue Angels flyover sent tents, chairs and umbrellas flying into the air — leaving spectators on the shoreline stunned as the jet engines roared just feet above their heads, wild video shows.The “Breakfast with the Blues” annual flyover — part of the Pensacola Beach Air Show — sent sunbathers into a frenzy as the specialized US Navy jets flew terrifyingly close to the shore — stirring up clouds of sand and sending beach gear airborne, WEAR News reported. “I’ve been coming for 10 years and I’ve never seen a pass like that in my life,” beachgoer Ashley Korn told the outlet. “I literally thought we were going to be taken out by Blue Angels, but it was amazing,” Korn added.The airshow was so low and powerful that some in the crowd thought the jets were “Fat Albert” — the C-130J Super Hercules jet that joined the Blue Angels fleet in 1970.“It was so big we thought it was Fat Albert,” Samantha Mayne quipped.

“It was huge because it was so close.”“All our tents got knocked down…it was worth it.It was awesome,” she added.Tents, beach chairs and umbrellas were tossed around by the thrust from the jet’s engines and some of the gear reportedly hit several people, according to videos posted to social media. The extent of injuries, if any, is unknown at this point. Despite the chaos, some beachgoers say they will remember the patriotic air display for a long time to come.“I’m gonna remember that probably for the rest of my life,” said Lane Wilkerson.“It was thrilling,” Lillie Korn said.

“I thought it was gonna be you just watch a plane fly.But that was cool.”The Blue Angels leadership is reviewing the super low flyover.
