NYPD cops relative, 24, fatally shot in the eye in the Bronx

A police officer’s family member was fatally shot in the eye in the Bronx early Saturday morning, an NYPD spokesman said.The 24-year-old man was found at Frederick Douglas Boulevard and Macombs Place with a gunshot wound to the right eye around 1:30 a.m., cops said.The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.His identity wasn’t immediately released.The nature of the relationship between the male police officer and the victim wasn’t clear, police said.This is a developing story.
