2 men stabbed near Central Park in unprovoked attack: sources

Two men were stabbed in an unprovoked rampage on the Upper West Side near Central Park on Thursday afternoon, law-enforcement sources said.The first victim was attacked near West 84th Street and Central Park West and stabbed in the back at around 1:30 p.m., according to the sources.The second man, believed to be in his 50s, was stabbed in the chest near West 86th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, the sources said.Both victims were brought to Saint Luke’s Hospital, one of them in critical condition, according to sources.The suspected stabber was caught a couple of blocks away, according to the sources.An investigation was ongoing.— Additional reporting by Tina MooreThis is a developing story.Please check back for updates....
