Heartbreaking details emerge after newborn baby found dead in California

Harrowing details have emerged in the mysterious case of a dead baby found in a beachside California town over the weekend.Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies discovered the body shortly after 8:30 a.m.Saturday after a caller reported an infant had been found alongside a rural road outside Moss Landing. Firefighters who responded to the call from the 100 block of Struve Road pronounced the infant dead at the scene.One of the first witnesses to discover the deceased infant has come forward about what he found.The agricultural worker, who declined to give his name, told KSBW he “saw a lot of blood, and the umbilical cord was still attached.”The man made his shocking discovery was next to a strawberry field in the central coast farming region.A memorial has sprung up at the site where the unidentified child was found, with flowers and two small rubber ducks left in the baby’s memory.Cops are searching for the person who left the baby there.
